Shirish Matkar
Vice President
A new face on board, he was born in 1960 in Indore, did his electrical engineering from SGSITS, Indore and then worked in marketing with KSB Pumps for 15 years. Subsequently he has been self-employed with a distributorship of Reliance pipes and Birla Sunlife Insurance. On the social front he has been active with the Gajanan Mandir Trust since 20 years in Lokmanya Nagar and is an active sports person. Being a businessman, he has a lot of experience in handling personnel & liaisoning.
Shri Tushar Thakur
Secretary
Born & brought up in Indore in 1969, Shri Thakur is a graduate and a businessman by profession dabbling into multiple ventures, foremost amongst them being agriculture. He has been one of the oldest residents of Lokmanya Nagar and has been an activist in the revival of many ventures for the good of society in general and Lokmanya Nagar in particular. This being his fourth tenure on the school board, needless to say he is one of the strongest pillars of Lokmanya Shiksha Samiti and has tirelessly worked for the betterment of the institute, having a widespread knowledge of all the departments required for the smooth functioning of the school.
Srikant Kulkarni
Treasurer
Popularly known as Nandubhaiya, he is a new person on board. He was born in 1952 and is a postgraduate in Sociology. He served with MPEB in the Accounts Department for 17 years, then as head of Establishment, Western region for 20 years and finally as Pension Head till his retirement in 2010. Suffice to say, he has a profound knowledge of accounts. Since early days he has been actively involved in social work and has worked for the adivasis for their food, education, health and clothing. He has been awarded for his untiring efforts in the field numerous times. He is also an active member of Lokmanya Nagar and the Jyeshtha Nagrik association of the colony. He brings in a lot of experience on board for his skills in finance and philanthropy.
Shri Chandrakant Joshi
Director
Son of a physician, Shri Joshi was born & brought up in Mandsaur, MP, and went on to graduate in Arts. He started his career as a teacher and then gained employment with BSNL, where he worked tirelessly for 40 years, during which time he was an active member of the Trade Union & retired as a Senior Marketing Manager. He is a Yoga Ratna and very active in the field of teaching Yoga since last 25 years. He is also a distinguished member of Lokmanya Nagar, Indore, where he has been residing since last 45 years. This is his third tenure in Lokmanya Shiksha Samiti, and under his leadership as President the LVN has seen many path-breaking changes. He is a past president of LSS.
Shri Digambar Kapse
Director
Born in 1944, Shri Kapse graduated in Civil Engineering and joined as a lecturer at Government Polytechnic, Yeotmal, Maharastra. Then on, he worked as assistant engineer at M. P. State Marketing Federation &underwent training in Rice Process Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. In his long career of 45 years he has managed construction of bridges, thermal power stations, hydro-electric power stations, rice mills and oil mills. He has undertaken projects in Iran, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. On the personal front he was active in formation of MahrashtraMandal at Agartala and the JyesthaNagarikSanstha of Lokmanya Nagar, Indore. He has been a valuable technical advisor to LVN for the construction of its new building and its regular functioning. He is a past vice-president of LSS.
Snehal Atul Joshi
Director
Another new face on the board of LokmanyaShikshaSamiti, she was bornin Nashik in 1979 & has been a resident of Lokmanya Nagar,Indore since 1999. She is a learned personality with a BSc, a diploma in Web Designing, an MBA in Human Resource Management, a diploma in Vedic Mathematics, and is presently pursuing a PHD in Management. She is an ex-teacher of LVN and is a successful businesswomen since last few years. Needless to say, she brings in a lot of knowledge and experience on board.
